Lotte Chemical Pakistan.
Montage holds an investment in Lotte Chemical Pakistan, a Karachi-based producer of purified terephthalic acid, known as PTA. An interest in production connects the company to a value chain it trades around, alongside its trading, logistics and financing activity.
PTA is one of the building blocks of the modern petrochemical chain. Combined with monoethylene glycol it is the primary raw material for polyester and PET, the polymers behind textiles and apparel, bottles and rigid packaging, and film and engineering applications. Demand tracks the growth of those industries across South Asia and South East Asia.
The investment connects our petrochemicals activity to a producer in a chain we trade around.
